Welcome to Christ Church
Christ Church, in the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania, is rooted in traditional Biblical and sacramental values. It is a friendly parish community which has a lively interest in the world beyond its "red doors" and in the ministry of hospitality at its heart. Wherever you are on the journey of faith, know that you are welcome at this church.

HAPPENINGS

Those who have pledged may pick up their envelopes after church Sunday. The boxes are on the table in the back. If you did not pledge, please find one of those infamous pink strips, fill it out and give it to the office.

The long-time president of the Altar Guild retired to this...

Have you contributed to the effort to rebuild Haiti yet? The disaster is quickly leaving the front pages and lead stories on the news. Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) has been working in Haiti through the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti, the largest diocese in The Episcopal Church. The cathedral and many of its churches were destroyed by the earthquake. Bishop Jean Zache Duracin and his wife survived. Thanks to generous donations (like yours, I'm sure), they are currently serving 25,000 displaced Haitians in 23 camps. ERD is a highly rated charity. Please consider one-time or ongoing contributions to help feed and house refugees through ERD.

The Sunday School people are collecting, wrapping and keeping track of our contributions to the Mile of Pennies program. Please bring your pennies to church. You may put them in the tin in the Walker Room or give them to the office or send them with the children. At $481.71, we are more than halfway to our goal of $844.80.

Christ Church has a blog. If you would be interested in contributing news items concerning our parish family, please contact Shelley. She will help you get started. Blogging is very easy and far easier to update than a web site.
